This hybrid role is based internationally, with a focus on the Victoria territory in Australia. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you will own the complete sales performance for our comprehensive Fire portfolio, targeting Specialized Fire Alarm Contractors. Your efforts will pursue both long-cycle strategic opportunities and short-cycle tactical wins, while navigating complex projects to deliver cutting-edge fire detection, alarm, and suppression systems that protect lives and property.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve and exceed territory revenue targets for Honeywell's Fire portfolio.
  • Prospect, qualify, and nurture leads with Specialized Fire Alarm Contractors, building a robust sales pipeline through CRM tools like Salesforce.
  • Conduct technical product demonstrations, solution presentations, and ROI analyses to address customer pain points in fire safety compliance and risk management.
  • Negotiate complex contracts, manage bid processes for large-scale projects, and close deals in both short-cycle and extended sales cycles.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technical support, engineering, and channel partners, to deliver customized fire system solutions.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes in fire safety standards (e.g., AS 1670) to position Honeywell as the market leader.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and customer relationship records to support data-driven decision-making.

We are currently seeking a Senior Sales Representative, who will be responsible for the complete sales performance in selling our Fire portfolio of products to Specialised Fire Alarm Contractors pursing long & short cycle opportunities, and complex projects, for a territory in Victoria.

  • Proficiency in CRM systems such as Salesforce and Microsoft Office Suite (experience)
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% within the Victoria territory (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical certifications in fire alarm systems (e.g., NFPA, AS 1670 compliance) (experience)
  • MBA or advanced degree in Sales Management (experience)
  • Prior experience with long-cycle sales in safety or industrial sectors (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end sales cycle for Fire portfolio products, from lead generation to contract closure
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Specialized Fire Alarm Contractors to secure repeat business and referrals
  • Identify and pursue long-cycle opportunities in large-scale projects, such as commercial buildings and infrastructure
  • Execute short-cycle sales tactics to capture quick-win opportunities and meet quarterly targets
  • Provide technical consultations and solution architecture support for complex fire detection and suppression needs
  • Analyze customer requirements and competitive landscapes to develop winning proposals and bids
  • Track sales performance metrics, forecast accurately, and report to senior leadership
