Key Responsibilities

  • Precisely assemble complex mechanical and electronic sub-assemblies using engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions to meet exact specifications.
  • Perform rigorous functional and environmental testing on assembled products, including pressure, vibration, and thermal simulations, to validate performance under extreme conditions.
  • Conduct detailed visual and dimensional inspections using precision tools such as micrometers, calipers, and CMMs, documenting results to uphold Honeywell's stringent quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot assembly issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to minimize defects and ensure first-time quality.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to 5S principles and Honeywell's safety protocols in a high-security defence manufacturing environment.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, and production teams to support process improvements and continuous enhancement initiatives.
  • Accurately record production data in Honeywell's ERP system and prepare reports for traceability and compliance with AS9100 and ITAR regulations.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in precision assembly for aerospace, defence, or high-tech manufacturing (experience)
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, GD&T, and engineering specifications (experience)
  • Experience with quality inspection tools and techniques in a controlled manufacturing environment (experience)
  • Ability to pass security clearance checks for defence-related work (experience)
  • Basic understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • IPC-A-610 certification for electronics assemblies (experience)
  • Experience in cleanroom or ESD-controlled environments (experience)
  • Previous work on space or avionics hardware (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Assemble intricate components using hand tools, jigs, fixtures, and torque equipment to precise tolerances for defence and space applications
  • Execute comprehensive testing protocols, including functional, environmental, and non-destructive testing to verify product integrity
  • Inspect assemblies for defects using optical comparators, CMMs, and other metrology tools, ensuring compliance with Honeywell quality standards
  • Diagnose and resolve assembly discrepancies, collaborating with engineers to implement root cause analysis and preventive measures
  • Maintain accurate production records, traceability documentation, and ERP entries in line with ITAR and AS9100 requirements
  • Support production planning by identifying process bottlenecks and proposing efficiency enhancements
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) guidelines, including handling of hazardous materials and high-security protocols
