Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software applications using modern programming languages and frameworks.
  • Implement scalable, reliable, and efficient code for embedded systems, cloud-based services, or industrial IoT applications.
  • Conduct code reviews, debugging, and optimization to ensure performance, security, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with product managers, architects, and quality assurance teams to define requirements and deliver robust solutions.
  • Integrate software with hardware components and third-party APIs in aerospace or automation systems.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to agile methodologies, including sprint planning and retrospectives.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and apply best practices in DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and version control.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (experience)
  • 5+ years of professional experience in software development, preferably in industrial, aerospace, or IoT domains (experience)
  • Proven experience with full software development lifecycle (SDLC) using Agile methodologies (experience)
  • Strong proficiency in object-oriented programming and software architecture principles (experience)
  • Experience with version control systems like Git and CI/CD tools (experience)
  • Ability to obtain relevant security clearances if required for projects (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related field (experience)
  • Certifications such as AWS Certified Developer, ISTQB, or Honeywell-specific training (experience)
  • Experience with embedded systems programming or real-time operating systems (RTOS) (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop robust software modules for embedded systems and cloud-integrated applications using C++, Java, or Python
  • Lead the implementation of features for industrial control systems, ensuring scalability and fault tolerance
  • Perform unit testing, integration testing, and performance optimization using tools like JUnit, pytest, or similar
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions aligned with business objectives
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex software issues in production environments
  • Document code, APIs, and technical designs for maintainability and knowledge transfer
  • Contribute to innovation by prototyping new technologies and participating in code reviews
