Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable software applications using modern programming languages and frameworks for Honeywell's industrial IoT and automation platforms.
  • Implement robust, secure, and efficient code following industry best practices, including agile methodologies and DevOps pipelines.
  • Conduct code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization to ensure high-quality deliverables and system reliability.
  • Collaborate with product managers, architects, and global teams to translate requirements into technical solutions and integrate with embedded systems.
  • Participate in requirement analysis, system testing, and deployment activities to support product lifecycle management.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and apply them to enhance Honeywell's software capabilities in real-time data processing and cloud integration.

  • Strong proficiency in software engineering principles, including object-oriented design and testing methodologies (experience)
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines (experience)
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment with excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related field (experience)
  • Certifications such as AWS Certified Developer, Azure Developer, or ISTQB (experience)
  • Experience with Honeywell products or similar industrial software platforms (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop high-performance software modules for embedded systems and cloud-based IoT solutions using C++, Java, or Python
  • Lead the implementation of microservices architecture and API integrations to support real-time data analytics
  • Perform unit, integration, and system testing to ensure software quality and compliance with safety standards (e.g., DO-178C)
  • Optimize algorithms and data structures for efficient processing in resource-constrained environments
  • Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate software with sensors and control systems
  • Contribute to agile sprints, backlog grooming, and sprint planning for timely project delivery
  • Document technical specifications, APIs, and user guides to facilitate team knowledge transfer
