Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct code reviews, debugging, and optimization to ensure high performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with product managers, QA teams, and hardware engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • Participate in agile methodologies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (experience)
  • 5+ years of professional experience in software development, preferably in aerospace, industrial automation, or IoT domains (experience)
  • Proven experience with full-stack development and building scalable applications (experience)
  • Strong proficiency in software testing, debugging, and deployment practices (experience)
  • Experience working in agile/Scrum environments with version control systems like Git (experience)
  • Ability to obtain relevant security clearances if required for projects (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related field (experience)
  • Certifications such as AWS Certified Developer, ISTQB, or Honeywell-specific training (experience)
  • Experience with real-time embedded systems or safety-critical software (DO-178C compliance) (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop high-quality software components for Honeywell's connected products and platforms using C++, Java, or Python
  • Lead the integration of software with hardware systems, ensuring seamless interoperability and performance
  • Perform unit, integration, and system-level testing to validate functionality and compliance with industry standards
  • Optimize algorithms and data structures for efficiency in resource-constrained environments
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, architectures, and technical roadmaps
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex software issues in production environments
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including CI/CD pipeline enhancements
