Overview

Honeywell is seeking a dynamic Sr Account Manager - Oil & Gas Automation to drive strategic growth in our Automation Solutions business segment. Based in an international location with a hybrid workplace model, this role focuses on managing key accounts in the oil and gas sector, delivering cutting-edge automation solutions that enhance operational efficiency, safety, and sustainability. You will partner with major upstream, midstream, and downstream clients to deploy Honeywell's industry-leading technologies, including process control systems, SCADA, and digital twin solutions. As a trusted advisor, you will identify opportunities, negotiate complex deals, and foster long-term partnerships that align with clients' digital transformation goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute account strategies to achieve sales targets, managing a portfolio of multimillion-dollar Oil & Gas accounts across international markets.
  • Conduct needs assessments and deliver tailored presentations on Honeywell's automation portfolio, including Experion PKS, Safety Manager, and cloud-based analytics.
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with C-suite stakeholders in EPC firms, operators, and refineries.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in proposal development, contract negotiations, and solution implementation to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and client KPIs to identify upselling opportunities and drive revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with Honeywell's global product and engineering teams to customize solutions for harsh oil & gas environments, emphasizing cybersecurity and IIoT integration.
  • Report on account performance, pipeline health, and forecasts using CRM tools like Salesforce.

  • Proven track record of closing multimillion-dollar deals in upstream, midstream, or downstream sectors (experience)
  • Deep knowledge of Oil & Gas industry standards (e.g., API, ISA, IEC 61511) and automation technologies (experience)
  • Experience in international markets with ability to navigate cultural and regulatory differences (experience)
  • Strong commercial acumen with expertise in CRM systems like Salesforce (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Engineering (experience)
  • Certifications such as Certified Sales Professional (CSP) or Honeywell Automation credentials (experience)
  • 10+ years in Oil & Gas with direct experience in DCS/PLC systems or digital transformation projects (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Own full sales lifecycle for strategic accounts, from lead generation to contract closure and post-sale support
  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities through client workshops, industry events, and market intelligence
  • Negotiate complex contracts, pricing, and terms while mitigating risks in high-stakes Oil & Gas deals
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders including engineering, legal, and finance to deliver integrated solutions
  • Drive customer success by monitoring project KPIs and ensuring adoption of Honeywell automation platforms
  • Conduct competitive analysis and develop value propositions highlighting ROI on safety and efficiency gains
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to regional sales strategies for Oil & Gas vertical
