Key Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and customer collections to optimize cash flow.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, management reports, and variance analysis.
- Identify and implement process improvements using automation tools and best practices to streamline accounting operations.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, internal controls, and audit requirements, including GST, TDS, and income tax filings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, procurement, and operations, to support business initiatives and forecasting.
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to team development initiatives.

- Proven experience in financial reporting and regulatory compliance in an Indian corporate environment (experience)
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle Financials, or similar (experience)
- Strong knowledge of Indian GAAP, IFRS, GST, TDS, and other statutory requirements (experience)
- CPA, CA, CMA, or equivalent certification (or in progress) (experience)
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or MBA with finance specialization (experience)
- Big 4 audit firm experience or multinational corporate exposure (experience)
- Advanced certifications like CPA (US), ACCA, or CIMA (experience)
Responsibilities
- Manage full cycle accounts payable and receivable operations, including invoice verification, payment processing, and collections to ensure timely and accurate transactions
- Maintain general ledger integrity through reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close activities
- Prepare accurate financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance reports for management review
- Drive process automation and improvements using tools like Excel macros, RPA, or ERP enhancements to reduce cycle times and errors
- Conduct internal audits, ensure SOX compliance (if applicable), and liaise with external auditors for seamless reporting
- Monitor and enforce compliance with tax laws, regulatory filings, and internal financial policies
- Collaborate with business units to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making
