Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop complex electrical systems, including power distribution, control circuits, and embedded electronics for aerospace and industrial applications.
  • Lead the prototyping, testing, and validation of electrical hardware using industry-standard tools and methodologies.
  • Perform detailed circuit analysis, simulations, and PCB layout optimization to ensure compliance with safety and performance standards.
  • Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, and software teams to integrate electrical subsystems into full product architectures.
  • Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews to uphold best practices and innovation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues in production and field deployments, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure all designs meet regulatory requirements such as DO-160, IPC standards, and Honeywell quality guidelines.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field from a recognized university (experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering design, preferably in aerospace, automotive, or industrial sectors (experience)
  • Proven expertise in analog and digital circuit design, power electronics, and signal integrity (experience)
  • Hands-on experience with PCB design tools such as Altium Designer or Cadence Allegro (experience)
  • Strong knowledge of electrical standards and compliance (e.g., IPC, UL, DO-160) (experience)
  • Experience with lab testing, debugging, and failure analysis of electrical systems (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline (experience)
  • Professional certifications such as PE (Professional Engineer) or Six Sigma Green Belt (experience)
  • Experience with embedded systems, FPGA design, or high-reliability applications in aerospace (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Architect and design advanced electrical systems including high-voltage power supplies and mixed-signal circuits for mission-critical applications
  • Conduct simulations using tools like LTSpice, MATLAB/Simulink, and perform thermal/EMC analysis
  • Lead design reviews, risk assessments, and DFMEA for electrical subsystems to mitigate potential failures
  • Develop and execute test plans for hardware validation, including environmental and stress testing
  • Integrate electrical designs with software/firmware and collaborate on system-level optimization
  • Drive innovation by exploring new technologies such as GaN/SiC power devices and wireless power transfer
  • Document designs, generate reports, and support manufacturing transition with DFM/DFA principles
