Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement real-time embedded software for microcontrollers and DSPs used in avionics, building controls, and performance materials.
- Lead the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and design to testing, integration, and deployment on resource-constrained hardware.
- Develop and debug low-level drivers, firmware, and RTOS-based applications using C/C++ and assembly languages.
- Perform hardware-software integration, optimization for power, performance, and reliability, and conduct rigorous unit/integration testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware engineers, systems architects, and product managers to ensure seamless system performance.
- Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and contribute to best practices in embedded software engineering.
- Investigate and resolve complex embedded system issues in production environments, ensuring compliance with safety standards like DO-178C and MISRA.

Skills Required
- Expertise in C/C++ and Assembly for embedded systemsintermediate
- Proficiency with RTOS (FreeRTOS, Zephyr, Linux embedded)intermediate

Required Qualifications

- 5+ years of hands-on experience in embedded software development for real-time systems (experience)
- Proven expertise in C/C++ programming for microcontrollers (ARM Cortex, PIC, etc.) and RTOS (FreeRTOS, Zephyr, or VxWorks) (experience)
- Strong understanding of embedded systems concepts including interrupts, memory management, and peripherals (I2C, SPI, UART, CAN) (experience)
- Experience with debugging tools like JTAG, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers (experience)
- Familiarity with safety-critical standards such as DO-178C, ISO 26262, or MISRA C (experience)
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Embedded Systems, Computer Engineering, or related field (experience)
- Certifications in embedded systems (e.g., ARM Accredited Engineer) or RTOS (experience)
- Experience with model-based development tools like MATLAB/Simulink or AUTOSAR (experience)
Responsibilities
- Design and develop embedded firmware and drivers for safety-critical applications in aerospace and industrial domains
- Lead requirements analysis, system design, and implementation of real-time embedded software solutions
- Optimize code for performance, power efficiency, and deterministic behavior on constrained hardware platforms
- Conduct comprehensive testing including unit tests, integration tests, and hardware-in-the-loop simulations
- Collaborate with hardware teams to define interfaces and resolve integration challenges
- Perform root cause analysis and debugging of complex firmware issues in lab and field environments
- Document designs, generate compliance reports, and mentor team members on embedded best practices
