As a senior contributor, you will drive technical excellence, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate across global teams to deliver reliable, high-performance solutions that power Honeywell's industry-leading products.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement embedded software for real-time systems using C/C++ on microcontrollers and ARM-based processors.
- Develop and integrate RTOS (e.g., FreeRTOS, VxWorks) drivers, firmware, and communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet, UART).
- Perform design verification, unit testing, and debugging using tools like oscilloscopes, JTAG debuggers, and static analysis.
- Lead requirements analysis, system modeling with UML/Stateflow, and ensure compliance with safety standards (DO-178C, ISO 26262).
- Optimize embedded code for power efficiency, memory constraints, and deterministic performance in resource-limited environments.
- Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and application teams to resolve complex integration issues and support product lifecycle from concept to deployment.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to code reviews, best practices, and process improvements.

- Experience with RTOS and bare-metal programming (experience)
- Strong understanding of embedded hardware interfaces and debugging (experience)
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment with excellent communication skills (experience)
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Embedded Systems or related field (experience)
- Certifications in embedded systems (e.g., ARM Accredited Engineer, ISTQB) (experience)
- Experience with safety-critical systems (DO-178C, MISRA compliance) (experience)
Responsibilities
- Design and develop embedded firmware for microcontrollers and SoCs in aerospace and industrial applications
- Implement and optimize real-time communication protocols including CAN, SPI, I2C, and Ethernet
- Conduct thorough testing, including unit, integration, and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) validation
- Analyze and resolve complex issues in low-level drivers and system bootloaders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software architectures and interfaces
- Ensure code quality through peer reviews, static analysis, and adherence to coding standards
- Support product certification and documentation for regulatory compliance
