Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the conceptual design, modeling, and analysis of complex mechanical components and assemblies using state-of-the-art CAD tools.
  • Perform structural, thermal, and vibration analyses using FEA software to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.
  • Develop and validate prototypes through rigorous testing, iterating designs based on performance data and failure mode analysis.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including systems engineers, manufacturing, and quality assurance to integrate designs into production-ready solutions.
  • Mentor junior engineers, conduct design reviews, and contribute to innovation initiatives for next-generation products.
  • Ensure designs meet regulatory requirements (e.g., AS9100, ISO standards) and optimize for manufacturability, cost, and sustainability.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and documentation using tools like PLM systems.

  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software such as Creo, SolidWorks, or NX (experience)
  • Hands-on experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools like ANSYS or Abaqus (experience)
  • Strong knowledge of GD&T, material science, and mechanical engineering principles (experience)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead design projects from concept to production (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (experience)
  • Experience with additive manufacturing or advanced composites (experience)
  • Professional certifications such as Six Sigma Green Belt or ASQ CQE (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Design and optimize mechanical systems and components for high-performance applications using CAD and simulation tools
  • Conduct detailed finite element analysis for stress, thermal, and dynamic loading conditions
  • Prototype and test designs, analyzing results to refine and validate performance
  • Lead design reviews and risk assessments to mitigate potential failures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and manufacturability
  • Develop technical documentation, including drawings, BOMs, and test reports
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean methodologies and DFMEA
