Key Responsibilities
- Lead a cross-functional team of mechanical design engineers in the full lifecycle development of high-reliability aerospace components, including structural analysis, tolerance optimization, and material selection.
- Develop and execute project plans, managing timelines, budgets, and resources to deliver products on schedule and within cost targets.
- Provide expert technical guidance on complex mechanical design challenges, utilizing CAD tools and simulation software to innovate solutions.
- Conduct design reviews, failure mode analysis (FMEA), and validation testing to ensure compliance with aerospace standards such as AS9100 and FAA regulations.
- Collaborate with systems engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to integrate designs into producible hardware.
- Mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
- Interface with customers and stakeholders to define requirements and resolve technical issues.

- Expertise in CAD software (e.g., Creo, SolidWorks) and FEA tools (e.g., ANSYS, Nastran) (experience)
- Experience managing engineering projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation (experience)
- Strong understanding of aerospace standards (e.g., AS9100, DO-160) and GD&T principles (experience)
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (experience)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (experience)
- Experience with additive manufacturing or composite materials in aerospace applications (experience)
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, analysis, and optimization of advanced mechanical components and assemblies using 3D CAD and simulation tools
- Manage a team of 5-10 mechanical engineers, providing mentorship, performance feedback, and career development
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and risk registers to ensure on-time delivery of high-quality products
- Perform tolerance stack-up analysis, thermal/structural simulations, and prototype validation testing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including aerodynamics, avionics, and manufacturing to integrate designs
- Conduct design reviews and root cause analysis for issues, implementing corrective actions
- Drive innovation by exploring new materials, manufacturing processes, and design methodologies
