Key Responsibilities

  • Architect, design, and implement advanced software solutions for embedded systems, real-time operating systems (RTOS), and IoT-enabled applications.
  • Lead the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and prototyping to testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Optimize code performance for resource-constrained environments, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security in safety-critical applications.
  • Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and foster best practices in agile methodologies and DevOps pipelines.
  • Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and product teams to integrate software with aerospace, industrial automation, or building control systems.
  • Investigate emerging technologies like AI/ML integration and edge computing to innovate Honeywell's software ecosystem.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards such as DO-178C, MISRA, and ISO 26262 for avionics and automotive software.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field (experience)
  • 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with focus on embedded systems or real-time applications (experience)
  • Proven track record in developing software for safety-critical industries like aerospace, automotive, or industrial automation (experience)
  • Hands-on experience with C/C++, Python, and RTOS such as VxWorks or FreeRTOS (experience)
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and version control systems like Git (experience)
  • Experience with agile development practices and CI/CD pipelines (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related field (experience)
  • Certifications such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or ISTQB (experience)
  • Experience with AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow) or cloud platforms (e.g., AWS IoT) (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop high-performance embedded software for real-time control systems and IoT devices
  • Lead technical reviews, debugging, and optimization of complex software modules to meet performance and safety standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware engineers and product managers to deliver integrated solutions
  • Implement unit, integration, and system-level testing using tools like Google Test or VectorCAST
