Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, integration, and verification of complex advanced systems for aerospace and defense applications.

  • 8+ years of experience in systems engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or senior role (experience)
  • Proven track record in designing and delivering complex systems for aerospace, defense, or industrial applications (experience)
  • Experience with systems engineering lifecycle processes, including requirements management and verification & validation (V&V) (experience)
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO 15288, ARP4754A, and DO-178C (experience)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Systems Engineering or related field (experience)
  • INCOSE certification (e.g., CSEP or ESEP) (experience)
  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools like SysML and Cameo Systems Modeler (experience)
  • Domain expertise in avionics, automation, or IoT systems (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of systems engineers in the full lifecycle development of advanced systems, from concept through deployment and sustainment
  • Define and manage system requirements, architectures, and interfaces using MBSE methodologies to ensure traceability and compliance
  • Conduct trade studies, risk analyses, and performance modeling to optimize system design and mitigate technical risks
  • Mentor and develop team members, conduct performance reviews, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
  • Collaborate with program management, customers, and suppliers to align systems solutions with contractual and mission requirements
  • Oversee integration, testing, and verification activities, including hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulations and flight testing
  • Drive adoption of advanced technologies, such as digital engineering and AI-driven analytics, to enhance system capabilities
