Sr Advanced Systems Engineer

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architectural design and requirements definition for advanced multi-domain systems, including model-based systems engineering (MBSE) using tools like SysML and Cameo.
- Perform system-level integration, verification, and validation (IV&V) activities to ensure compliance with industry standards such as DO-178C, DO-254, and ARP4754A.
- Conduct trade studies, risk assessments, and failure modes effects analysis (FMEA) to optimize system performance, reliability, and safety.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software, hardware, and test engineers, to resolve complex technical issues and drive system-level innovations.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, including interface control documents (ICDs), test plans, and certification artifacts for regulatory approvals.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to process improvements in agile systems engineering practices.

- Proven track record in requirements management and systems integration using tools like DOORS, Polarion, or Jira (experience)
- Experience with safety-critical systems development and certification processes (e.g., RTCA/DO standards) (experience)
- Strong analytical skills with hands-on experience in system modeling and simulation (experience)
- Ability to obtain security clearance if required for specific projects (experience)
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Systems Engineering or related field (experience)
- INCOSE certification (e.g., CSEP) or equivalent (experience)
- Experience with Honeywell products or aerospace/industrial automation domains (experience)
Responsibilities
- Architect and design advanced systems integrating hardware, software, and firmware components for optimal performance
- Lead requirements elicitation, analysis, and traceability from concept through verification
- Execute system integration testing, including hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and software-in-the-loop (SIL) simulations
- Perform risk mitigation, trade-off analyses, and root cause investigations for system anomalies
- Collaborate with global stakeholders to define interfaces and ensure interoperability across subsystems
- Drive continuous improvement in systems engineering processes and toolchains
- Support product certification and compliance audits with regulatory bodies
