As a Senior Advanced Embedded Software Engineer, you’ll play a key role as a technical leader, guiding decisions and shaping solutions, while still being hands-on as an individual contributor. As a Senior Advanced Embedded SW Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise on a variety of projects and programs for exciting new technologies in the field of Alternative Position, Navigation, and Timing Systems. You will use your expert knowledge of Software Architecture and Embedded Systems to deliver quality code. You will serve as the focal point for SW development and integration with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and scientists. You will also support new business opportunities and pursuits with an integrated sales, business, and technical team. LOCATION: Plymouth, MN

  • 8+ years of experience in embedded software development for real-time systems (experience)
  • Proven track record as a technical leader in software architecture and design (experience)
  • Experience with embedded systems in aerospace, defense, or navigation technologies (experience)
  • Strong proficiency in C/C++ for resource-constrained environments (experience)
  • U.S. citizenship due to ITAR and government program requirements (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Engineering or related field (experience)
  • Experience with Alternative Position, Navigation, and Timing (APNT) systems (experience)
  • Security clearance (Secret or higher) or eligibility to obtain (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Architect and implement embedded software for APNT systems, ensuring scalability and performance in GPS-denied scenarios
  • Lead design reviews, code development, and integration testing across multidisciplinary teams
  • Develop and optimize real-time algorithms for sensor fusion, timing, and positioning
