Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust export compliance programs aligned with U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR), International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) requirements.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, classification reviews, and licensing determinations for Honeywell products, technologies, and software.
- Lead internal audits, training programs, and corrective action plans to mitigate compliance gaps and ensure adherence across global sites.
- Collaborate with legal, engineering, sales, and supply chain teams to support deal structuring, end-user screening, and embargoed country analyses.
- Monitor regulatory changes, advise senior leadership on trade policy impacts, and represent Honeywell in interactions with government agencies like BIS and DDTC.
- Manage export classification processes using tools like SNAP-R and maintain accurate records for audit readiness.
- Foster a culture of compliance through proactive education and metrics-driven reporting.

- In-depth knowledge of U.S. export regulations including EAR, ITAR, and OFAC sanctions (experience)
- Proven experience managing export licensing, classifications, and compliance audits (experience)
- Ability to interpret complex technical specifications for dual-use and defense articles (experience)
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or JD in a relevant field (experience)
- Certified Export Specialist (CES), Certified U.S. Export Compliance Officer (CUSECO), or similar certification (experience)
- Experience in aerospace, defense, or high-tech manufacturing industries (experience)
Responsibilities
- Oversee the design and execution of export compliance programs to ensure regulatory adherence across Honeywell's global operations
- Perform product classifications, jurisdiction determinations, and licensing submissions using federal portals like SNAP-R and DECCS
- Conduct due diligence on customers, end-users, and supply chains to mitigate denied party and sanctions risks
- Lead training sessions and awareness campaigns for employees handling controlled technologies
- Investigate potential violations, prepare voluntary disclosures, and implement remediation measures
- Analyze geopolitical and regulatory developments to provide strategic guidance to business leaders
- Generate compliance metrics and reports for executive review and continuous improvement
