Sr Facilities Maintenance Technician

Location: Glendale, AZ | Workplace: On-site | Honeywell

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on HVAC systems, electrical panels, plumbing, and building automation systems to minimize downtime.
  • Develop and execute detailed maintenance schedules and work plans, coordinating with vendors and internal teams for complex projects.
  • Conduct safety inspections, risk assessments, and compliance audits to adhere to OSHA, EPA, and local regulations.
  • Diagnose and resolve advanced facility issues using diagnostic tools, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Manage inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and spare parts, optimizing stock levels to support 24/7 operations.
  • Lead small teams or mentor junior technicians during emergency repairs and upgrades.
  • Document all maintenance activities in CMMS software, generating reports for management review.

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in commercial/industrial facilities maintenance (experience)
  • Proven expertise in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems repair and maintenance (experience)
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations (OSHA, EPA) and environmental compliance standards (experience)
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) such as Maximo or similar (experience)
  • Valid driver's license and ability to work on-site full-time with occasional overtime or on-call duties (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management or Engineering (experience)
  • Certifications such as EPA Section 608, OSHA 30-Hour, or CFM (Certified Facilities Manager) (experience)
  • Experience in aerospace or manufacturing facility environments (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Execute routine and preventive maintenance on building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire suppression to ensure 99% uptime
  • Plan and perform repairs, installations, and modifications to facility infrastructure using schematics, hand/power tools, and diagnostic equipment
  • Conduct daily safety inspections, hazard identifications, and corrective actions to maintain compliance with federal, state, and Honeywell standards
  • Coordinate with contractors and vendors for specialized repairs, ensuring quality control and cost efficiency
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and inventory in CMMS, providing analytical reports to Facilities Manager
  • Respond to emergency maintenance calls, prioritizing critical systems to minimize operational disruptions
  • Support facility projects such as expansions or upgrades, assisting in design reviews and implementation
