This on-site, international role involves traveling to customer sites worldwide to deliver expert installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Honeywell's advanced industrial systems, including automation controls, safety instrumentation, and aerospace equipment. As a senior technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring operational excellence, minimizing downtime, and enhancing customer satisfaction in mission-critical environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on complex Honeywell systems such as PLCs, SCADA, and instrumentation at international customer sites.
- Lead on-site installations and commissioning of new equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards and project timelines.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic issues using specialized tools and Honeywell proprietary software.
- Train junior technicians and customer personnel on system operation, maintenance procedures, and best practices.
- Document service activities, generate detailed reports, and recommend upgrades to optimize system performance.
- Collaborate with engineering teams remotely to resolve escalated technical issues and implement solutions.
- Ensure adherence to international safety regulations, including OSHA, ISO, and local standards during fieldwork.

- 7+ years of hands-on experience as a Field Service Technician in industrial automation or aerospace systems (experience)
- Proven track record of servicing PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and control systems in field environments (experience)
- International travel experience and ability to work in diverse cultural and operational settings (experience)
- Valid driver's license and ability to obtain necessary visas/passports for global assignments (experience)
- Strong safety record with knowledge of lockout/tagout, PPE, and hazard analysis (experience)
Preferred Qualifications
- Honeywell-specific certifications (e.g., Experion PKS, Safety Manager) (experience)
- Master's degree in Engineering or related discipline (experience)
- Experience with aerospace avionics or process control systems in oil & gas (experience)
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough site assessments and system diagnostics using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and diagnostic software to identify and resolve faults
- Install and configure Honeywell control systems, including wiring, programming, and integration with existing infrastructure
- Perform calibrations, alignments, and software updates to ensure optimal equipment performance and reliability
- Lead root cause analysis for failures, implementing corrective actions and preventive measures to reduce recurrence
- Mentor and supervise junior field technicians during complex service calls and training sessions
- Prepare comprehensive service reports, spare parts requisitions, and customer handover documentation
- Coordinate with logistics for tool/parts shipment and manage on-site inventory for efficient operations
