Overview

Join Honeywell's dynamic HR team as a Senior HR Manager supporting our state-of-the-art aerospace facility in Olathe, KS. In this pivotal leadership role, you will serve as a sub-region multi-site leader, managing direct reports and owning the development and execution of comprehensive HR strategies tailored to the Olathe site. Reporting to the regional HR director, you will provide strategic day-to-day HR direction, partnering closely with site leadership to drive talent acquisition, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness in a high-tech manufacturing environment. This hybrid position offers flexibility with 3 days in-office at our Olathe facility and 2 remote days per week, fostering collaboration while supporting work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives, including talent management, succession planning, and workforce optimization for the Olathe aerospace site.
  • Lead a team of HR professionals, providing coaching, performance management, and career development to ensure high team performance across multiple sites.
  • Partner with site executives to execute on employee relations, labor relations, and change management initiatives in a unionized manufacturing setting.
  • Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs, talent acquisition efforts, and learning & development initiatives to build a high-performing workforce.
  • Analyze HR metrics and data to inform decision-making, forecast staffing needs, and mitigate risks related to compliance and employee turnover.
  • Oversee compensation and benefits administration, ensuring competitive practices that attract and retain top aerospace talent.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by championing Honeywell's behavioral standards and safety protocols.

  • Deep knowledge of US employment laws, labor relations, and compliance in a regulated industry (experience)
  • Experience developing and executing HR strategies including talent acquisition, employee relations, and performance management (experience)
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors) (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in HR Management, Organizational Psychology, or MBA (experience)
  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP certification (experience)
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or high-tech manufacturing environments (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and own HR strategies for the Olathe site, aligning with Honeywell's global HR framework and site-specific business goals
  • Manage and mentor a team of 5-8 HR direct reports, conducting performance reviews, talent development, and succession planning
  • Provide expert counsel to site leadership on employee relations, conflict resolution, and organizational change initiatives
  • Lead talent acquisition and retention programs, including workforce planning, recruiting top engineering and manufacturing talent
  • Analyze people data and metrics to optimize engagement, diversity initiatives, and turnover reduction efforts
  • Oversee compensation benchmarking, benefits enrollment, and payroll processes to ensure competitiveness and compliance
  • Champion safety, DEI, and leadership development programs to build a resilient, inclusive culture
