Job Overview

Join Honeywell's world-class team as a Sr. Industrial Maintenance Technician on our Weekend Night Shift (Friday-Sunday, 6 PM - 6 AM). Based at our customer site in Pittston, PA, this hybrid role combines on-site technical expertise with flexible remote collaboration. You will deliver high-level technical support, troubleshoot complex industrial systems, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and mentor junior technicians and customers to ensure maximum uptime and satisfaction. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting Honeywell's mission to advance aerospace, building technologies, performance materials, and safety solutions for global customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve advanced electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues in automated manufacturing equipment, PLC-controlled systems, and robotics.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, root cause analysis using tools like 5-Why and Fishbone diagrams, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
  • Train and mentor junior technicians and customer operators on equipment troubleshooting, safety protocols, and best maintenance practices.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize system performance, recommend upgrades, and integrate IoT sensors for predictive maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate records in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) such as Maximo or SAP PM, including work orders, parts inventory, and KPI reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA 70E, and Honeywell safety standards during high-risk tasks like lockout/tagout and arc flash mitigation.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, such as Lean Six Sigma projects, to enhance reliability and efficiency in a fast-paced industrial environment.

  • Proven expertise in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens), VFDs, servo drives, and industrial robotics (experience)
  • Experience with CMMS systems (e.g., Maximo, SAP PM) and predictive maintenance tools (experience)
  • Ability to work Weekend Night Shift (Fri-Sun, 6 PM - 6 AM) with on-call availability (experience)
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer site in Pittston, PA (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (experience)
  • CMRP (Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional) or equivalent certification (experience)
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems in high-volume production environments to achieve 99%+ uptime
  • Conduct root cause failure analysis and implement PM/PdM strategies using vibration analysis, thermography, and ultrasound tools
  • Program, modify, and debug PLC ladder logic, HMIs, and SCADA systems for process optimization
  • Lead training sessions for junior technicians and customer staff on safety, equipment operation, and maintenance procedures
  • Manage spare parts inventory, procure critical components, and execute work orders via CMMS with detailed documentation
  • Perform electrical testing, panel builds, and installations compliant with NEC and NFPA standards
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support new equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects
