In this hybrid role based in the United States, you will drive digital transformation initiatives, optimize IT systems for process industries, and support mission-critical operations in refining and petrochemical sectors. As a key contributor, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable IT solutions that enhance operational efficiency, ensure data integrity, and enable advanced analytics for our global customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze complex business requirements and design IT solutions for UOP's refining process simulation software and enterprise systems.
  • Develop and maintain custom applications using low-code platforms and integrate with Honeywell's Forge ecosystem for IoT and AI-driven insights.
  • Lead IT projects involving ERP systems like SAP, ensuring seamless data flow between operational technology (OT) and information technology (IT).
  • Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and optimization to minimize downtime in 24/7 manufacturing environments.
  • Collaborate with UOP engineers, data scientists, and stakeholders to implement cybersecurity measures and compliance with industry standards such as NIST and ISO 27001.
  • Generate reports and dashboards using tools like Power BI to provide actionable insights for process optimization and predictive maintenance.
  • Mentor junior analysts and contribute to IT strategy roadmap for UOP's digital sustainability goals.

  • Proven experience with ERP systems such as SAP S/4HANA or Oracle in manufacturing environments (experience)
  • Hands-on experience with data analytics tools and process simulation software (experience)
  • Strong understanding of IT/OT convergence and industrial cybersecurity (experience)
  • Experience leading cross-functional IT projects from requirements gathering to deployment (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Information Systems or Business Analytics (experience)
  • Certifications such as PMP, ITIL, CISSP, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect (experience)
  • Experience with Honeywell Forge or similar IoT platforms in process industries (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of UOP business processes to identify IT improvement opportunities and recommend scalable solutions
  • Design, develop, and deploy custom IT applications and integrations supporting refining process modeling and optimization
  • Lead end-to-end IT projects, managing timelines, budgets, and stakeholder expectations while mitigating risks
  • Implement and maintain data pipelines for real-time analytics, ensuring high availability and data accuracy
  • Perform rigorous testing, including unit, integration, and user acceptance testing for mission-critical systems
  • Collaborate with global UOP teams to ensure IT solutions align with regulatory compliance and operational excellence
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and proactively optimize for enhanced efficiency and cost savings
