Sr Materials Management Analyst

Reporting to the Materials Manager, you will leverage advanced analytics and ERP systems to ensure seamless material flow, cost reduction, and on-time delivery in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain master production schedules (MPS) and material requirements plans (MRP) using SAP or similar ERP systems to align production with demand forecasts.
  • Analyze inventory levels, lead times, and supplier performance to optimize stock levels, minimize excess inventory, and reduce carrying costs by 10-15% annually.
  • Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, and engineering teams to resolve material shortages, implement shortage mitigation strategies, and execute purchase requisitions.
  • Conduct root cause analysis on supply chain disruptions using data analytics tools like Tableau or Excel advanced modeling, and develop actionable improvement plans.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery (OTD), inventory turns, and fill rates; prepare executive-level reports and dashboards for leadership review.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in materials planning process improvements, including implementation of lean principles and just-in-time (JIT) methodologies.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations (e.g., ITAR, AS9100) and Honeywell's supply chain policies while managing supplier relationships.

  • Proven expertise with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or JDE, including MRP and MPS modules (experience)
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in demand forecasting and inventory optimization (experience)
  • Experience in aerospace, automotive, or industrial manufacturing industries preferred (experience)
  • APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP) or equivalent (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration (experience)
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification (experience)
  • Experience with advanced planning systems (APS) like Kinaxis or Demand Solutions (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage material requirements plans (MRP) to support production schedules and customer commitments
  • Perform inventory analysis and forecasting to optimize stock levels and reduce obsolescence risks
  • Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve material shortages and expedite deliveries
  • Develop and report on supply chain KPIs, identifying trends and recommending process improvements
  • Implement inventory control strategies, including ABC analysis and safety stock modeling
  • Lead materials review board (MRB) processes for non-conforming materials
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean methodologies to enhance supply chain efficiency
