Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing strategies for high-value commodities, negotiating contracts to achieve cost savings of 10-20% annually.
- Manage supplier relationships, conducting RFPs, supplier evaluations, and performance reviews to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with global standards.
- Analyze market trends, pricing, and supply chain dynamics using advanced tools to forecast demand and secure optimal terms.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, finance, and operations teams to align procurement activities with business objectives.
- Implement procurement best practices, including digital tools like SAP Ariba, to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
- Monitor and report key metrics such as cost avoidance, on-time delivery, and supplier quality to senior leadership.
- Lead strategic projects, such as category management and sustainability initiatives, to support Honeywell's ESG goals.

Summary
As a Sr Procurement Buyer here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for managing and executing the organization's procurement and purchasing activities at a strategic level. This position plays a pivotal part in ensuring efficient procurement processes, cost-effectiveness, and strategic alignment within the procurement function. You will report directly to our Procurement Manager and you’ll work out of our Monterrey, location on a Hybrid work schedule.

- Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle (experience)
- Strong analytical skills with experience in spend analysis and market intelligence tools (experience)
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Supply Chain Management or MBA (experience)
- Professional certifications such as CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management), CSCP, or CPIM (experience)
- Experience in the aerospace, industrial, or manufacturing sectors with knowledge of regulatory compliance (e.g., ITAR, AS9100) (experience)
Responsibilities
- Lead strategic sourcing events including RFI, RFQ, and RFP processes to select and onboard suppliers
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to optimize total cost of ownership
- Conduct supplier risk assessments, audits, and performance management to ensure reliability and quality
- Develop and maintain category strategies for indirect and direct materials, focusing on cost reduction and innovation
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to forecast requirements and resolve supply issues
- Utilize data analytics to identify savings opportunities and track procurement KPIs
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including digital transformation and sustainable sourcing practices
