Sr Program Administrator

Location: Phoenix, AZ | Workplace: On-site

Overview

As a Sr Program Administrator at Honeywell, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our critical programs within the Department of Energy (DOE) complex. Reporting directly to our Director of Program Management, you’ll work out of our Phoenix, AZ location on a fully on-site schedule. In this position, you will develop and implement classification policies, oversee personnel, lead complex projects, and coordinate activities across the DOE ecosystem.   • Develop and implement comprehensive classification policies and procedures in alignment with DOE directives, ensuring accurate handling of classified information and materials.
  • Oversee personnel administration, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and training for program teams operating in high-security environments.
  • Lead cross-functional projects from inception to completion, managing timelines, budgets, and resources across multiple sites in the DOE complex.

  • Demonstrated project leadership skills with track record of managing multi-site initiatives (experience)
  • Active U.S. security clearance (Q-level or equivalent) or eligibility to obtain one (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Public Policy, National Security, or related discipline (experience)
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, CISSP, or DOE-specific classification training (experience)
  • 7+ years of experience in DOE complex or federal contracting environments (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement classification policies and guidelines compliant with DOE Order 475.2A and NNSA directives
  • Oversee personnel lifecycle processes including staffing, training, and performance evaluations for program teams
  • Lead end-to-end project management for DOE-funded initiatives, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery across the complex
  • Coordinate inter-agency activities, facilitating collaboration between Honeywell, DOE labs, and prime contractors
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement change management strategies to optimize program operations
  • Monitor compliance with federal regulations, preparing reports and briefings for senior leadership and DOE oversight
  • Promote inclusive culture through diversity initiatives, team-building, and leadership development programs
