Overview

As a Sr Program Administrator at Honeywell, you will play a pivotal role in our Nuclear Security Enterprise, supporting critical missions for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). Reporting directly to the Director of Program Management, you’ll work out of our Kansas City, Missouri location on a fully on-site schedule. In this position, you will develop and implement classification policies, oversee personnel across multiple sites, lead complex projects, and coordinate activities throughout the DOE complex. You will drive organizational change, foster an inclusive culture, and ensure compliance with stringent federal regulations while advancing Honeywell’s commitment to innovation and safety in national security programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement classification policies and procedures to safeguard sensitive information in compliance with DOE directives such as NNSA classification guides.
  • Oversee personnel management, including recruitment, performance evaluation, and professional development for program teams spanning the DOE complex.
  • Lead cross-functional projects from inception to completion, managing timelines, budgets, and resources to deliver mission-critical outcomes.
  • Coordinate activities and communications across DOE sites, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and risk mitigation.
  • Drive change management initiatives, utilizing methodologies like ADKAR to promote adoption of new processes and technologies.
  • Foster an inclusive culture by championing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs and leading team-building efforts.
  • Conduct audits, prepare reports, and brief senior leadership on program status, risks, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Active U.S. security clearance (Q-level or equivalent) or ability to obtain one (experience)

  • Master's degree in Program Management, Security Studies, or related discipline (experience)
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, CISSP, or DOE-specific classification training (experience)
  • Experience in the DOE complex or nuclear security enterprise (experience)

  • Develop and implement comprehensive classification policies and guidelines aligned with DOE Order 475.2A and NNSA requirements
  • Oversee personnel lifecycle processes, including staffing, training, and performance management for program teams
  • Lead end-to-end project execution, from scoping and planning to delivery and closeout, ensuring on-time, on-budget results
  • Coordinate inter-site activities across the DOE complex, facilitating information sharing and resolving conflicts
  • Drive organizational change through strategic initiatives, stakeholder engagement, and process optimization
  • Foster an inclusive workplace culture by implementing DEI strategies and monitoring team dynamics
  • Prepare executive-level reports, conduct compliance audits, and represent the program in DOE reviews
