Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain integrated program schedules using tools like Primavera P6 or MS Project, ensuring alignment with project milestones and deliverables.
  • Oversee cost management processes, including Earned Value Management (EVM), budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to optimize financial performance.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, identify potential issues, and implement mitigation strategies to safeguard program objectives.
  • Generate executive-level reports and dashboards on program health, KPIs, and progress, utilizing BI tools like Tableau or Power BI.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team, focusing on talent development, retention strategies, and cultivating an inclusive culture.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, finance, and operations teams to ensure seamless program execution and stakeholder alignment.
  • Drive continuous improvement in program controls processes, leveraging industry best practices and Honeywell's PMO standards.

Summary

As a Program Controls Specialist II here at Honeywell, you will manage scheduling, cost management, risk assessment, and reporting. You'll build a strong team, drive retention, and foster an inclusive culture. You will report directly to our Program Controls Manager and you’ll work out of our Pune, Maharashtra location on a Hybrid, work schedule.

  • 5+ years of experience in program controls, scheduling, or project management within aerospace, manufacturing, or high-tech industries (experience)
  • Proven expertise in Earned Value Management (EVM) and cost control methodologies (experience)
  • Experience leading teams in a matrixed organization with a focus on retention and inclusion (experience)
  • Strong proficiency in scheduling tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or Deltek Cobra (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Project Management or Business Administration (experience)
  • PMP, PMI-SP, or equivalent certifications in project/program management (experience)
  • Experience with risk management frameworks like ISO 31000 or aerospace-specific standards (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Create and baseline detailed program schedules, tracking critical path and dependencies to ensure on-time delivery
  • Manage program budgets through accurate forecasting, variance reporting, and cost-to-complete analysis
  • Perform quantitative risk analysis, develop risk registers, and execute response plans
  • Design and deliver customized dashboards and reports for senior leadership using data visualization tools
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop a team of program controls professionals while promoting diversity and inclusion
  • Integrate program controls data across ERP systems like SAP and ensure compliance with contractual obligations
  • Conduct program reviews and audits to identify improvement opportunities and implement process enhancements
