Sr Quality Control Supervisor

Location: Olathe, KS | Workplace: On-site

As a Sr Quality Control Supervisor at Honeywell, you will lead a high-performing team in upholding the highest standards of quality within our Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) Operations. Reporting directly to the Director of ISC Operations, you will be based at our state-of-the-art facility in Olathe, KS, on a fully on-site schedule. In this pivotal role, you will develop and execute robust quality control strategies, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with industry regulations and Honeywell's stringent quality benchmarks. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of quality control professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, excellence, and safety.
  • Design, implement, and monitor quality control processes, including inspection protocols, testing procedures, and statistical process controls.
  • Drive root cause analysis and corrective action plans using tools like Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and FMEA to minimize defects and waste.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain to integrate quality standards throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Ensure adherence to ISO 9001, AS9100, and other relevant standards, while preparing for and leading internal/external audits.
  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards to track quality metrics and report progress to senior leadership.
  • Champion continuous improvement projects, resulting in measurable enhancements in product quality, yield rates, and operational efficiency.

  • Proven track record in implementing quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100) (experience)
  • Strong knowledge of statistical analysis tools and quality methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean) (experience)
  • Experience with root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) processes (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (experience)
  • ASQ Certified Quality Manager (CQM) or Six Sigma Black Belt certification (experience)
  • Experience in aerospace or defense manufacturing sectors (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and develop a team of 10-15 quality inspectors and technicians, conducting performance reviews and training programs
  • Develop and execute quality control strategies aligned with Honeywell's operational goals and customer requirements
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement process improvements to achieve zero-defect production targets
  • Lead investigations into quality non-conformances, utilizing tools like 8D, Fishbone diagrams, and Pareto analysis
  • Manage supplier quality audits and collaborate with procurement to ensure incoming materials meet specifications
  • Prepare and present quality reports and metrics to senior leadership, driving data-informed decisions
  • Oversee calibration and maintenance of quality testing equipment to maintain compliance and accuracy
