Join Honeywell's Energy & Sustainability team within the Building Solutions organization as a Senior Sales Representative - C&I Distributed Energy Generation. Based in the United States with a hybrid work model, you will drive the adoption of innovative distributed energy resources (DER) in the commercial and industrial (C&I) sectors. Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect, qualify, and close complex sales opportunities with C&I clients, targeting facilities managers, sustainability officers, and C-suite executives.
  • Conduct needs assessments and deliver customized proposals for DER solutions, including ROI analyses and total cost of ownership models.
  • Build and nurture strategic relationships with key stakeholders to expand Honeywell's footprint in energy transition projects.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and channel partner teams to design and deploy resilient energy systems.
  • Drive pipeline growth through industry events, webinars, and thought leadership on topics like grid independence and decarbonization.
  • Negotiate contracts, manage sales cycles, and achieve quarterly/annual quotas in a high-growth market.
  • Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to shape product roadmaps for next-gen DER technologies.

  • Demonstrated success selling distributed energy resources (e.g., solar, storage, microgrids) or energy efficiency solutions (experience)
  • Experience managing complex sales cycles with deal sizes exceeding $500K (experience)
  • Strong understanding of energy markets, regulations (e.g., FERC, state incentives), and utility interactions (experience)
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% within the US (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Energy Management (experience)
  • Professional certifications such as NABCEP, CEM (Certified Energy Manager), or LEED (experience)
  • Prior experience with Honeywell or similar building automation/energy management systems (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in C&I sectors for DER solutions, achieving 100%+ of sales targets
  • Develop and present compelling value propositions, including financial modeling for energy savings and resiliency benefits
  • Lead cross-functional teams in solution design, from site assessments to project handover
  • Cultivate long-term partnerships with utilities, EPC firms, and end-users to expand market share
  • Analyze customer pain points related to energy costs, outages, and sustainability mandates to tailor offerings
  • Track and report sales metrics using CRM tools like Salesforce, ensuring accurate forecasting
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and policy changes to inform sales strategies
