Overview

As a Sr Sales Representative - C&I Distributed Energy Generation on our Energy & Sustainability team within the Honeywell Building Solutions organization, you will become a catalyst for change in the commercial and industrial (C&I) market. In this hybrid role based in the United States, you will spearhead the sales of cutting-edge distributed energy resources (DER), including solar PV, energy storage, microgrids, and demand response solutions. Drive facilities' infrastructure modernization, enhancing resiliency, reliability, and sustainability while helping clients achieve net-zero goals and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect, qualify, and close complex sales opportunities with C&I clients, targeting Fortune 500 companies, utilities, and large-scale facilities.
  • Conduct needs assessments and deliver customized solution proposals for DER integrations that optimize energy costs and grid independence.
  • Build and nurture executive-level relationships, navigating multi-stakeholder decision processes in procurement, engineering, and sustainability teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and channel partners, to design and deploy scalable energy projects.
  • Develop account strategies, manage sales pipelines, and achieve/exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets through consultative selling.
  • Leverage data analytics and ROI modeling to demonstrate value, securing contracts valued at $1M+.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations (e.g., IRA incentives), and competitive landscapes to position Honeywell as the DER leader.

  • Proven track record of closing $1M+ deals in C&I sectors with demonstrated quota attainment (experience)
  • Deep knowledge of distributed energy resources (solar, storage, microgrids) and energy markets (experience)
  • Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and sales forecasting methodologies (experience)
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% within the United States (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Energy Management, Sustainability, or MBA (experience)
  • Professional certifications such as NABCEP, CEM (Certified Energy Manager), or LEED (experience)
  • Prior experience in utilities, ESCO (Energy Service Company), or DER project development (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in C&I markets through targeted outreach and networking
  • Lead solution workshops and demonstrations, translating client pain points into Honeywell DER value propositions
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms while mitigating risks in large-scale energy projects
  • Partner with technical teams to scope, bid, and deliver turnkey DER installations
  • Analyze market data and client energy profiles to recommend optimized DER configurations
  • Mentor junior sales reps and contribute to team sales enablement initiatives
  • Track and report sales metrics, ensuring alignment with Honeywell's strategic growth objectives
