As a Senior Sales Representative on our Energy & Sustainability team within the Honeywell Building Solutions organization, you will become a catalyst for change in the commercial and industrial (C&I) market. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead the sales of cutting-edge energy efficiency solutions and distributed energy resources (DER), driving facilities' infrastructure modernization, enhancing resiliency, and improving reliability. Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect, qualify, and close complex sales opportunities for energy efficiency projects, DER systems like microgrids and battery storage, targeting C&I clients in manufacturing, data centers, healthcare, and utilities.
  • Conduct needs assessments and energy audits to design customized solutions that optimize building performance and achieve ROI through efficiency gains.
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with C-suite stakeholders, presenting compelling business cases with financial modeling and TCO analyses.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, product management, and channel partners to deliver turnkey implementations.
  • Drive pipeline growth through strategic account planning, market intelligence, and participation in industry events like AEE World or DistribuTECH.
  • Negotiate contracts, manage sales cycles from lead to close, and ensure customer satisfaction post-sale to secure repeat business and referrals.
  • Track and report sales metrics using CRM tools like Salesforce, contributing to team quotas and forecasting accuracy.

  • Demonstrated track record of achieving or exceeding sales quotas in complex solution selling (e.g., $1M+ deals) (experience)
  • Deep understanding of energy markets, DER technologies (microgrids, solar+storage), and regulatory incentives like IRA/ITC (experience)
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and financial modeling tools for ROI/TCO calculations (experience)
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% domestically (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Engineering (experience)
  • Professional certifications such as CEM (Certified Energy Manager), LEED AP, or sales credentials (e.g., Challenger Sale) (experience)
  • Experience selling to Fortune 500 C&I clients in manufacturing or critical infrastructure (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in C&I energy efficiency and DER markets through targeted outreach and networking
  • Perform technical and financial analyses to develop tailored proposals demonstrating energy savings and resiliency benefits
  • Lead virtual and in-person customer presentations, demos, and proof-of-concept pilots for Honeywell solutions
  • Coordinate with internal Honeywell teams and external partners to scope, price, and deliver integrated energy projects
  • Manage full sales lifecycle, from opportunity qualification to contract negotiation and handoff to implementation teams
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and policy changes to refine sales strategies and expand market share
  • Mentor junior sales reps and contribute to team knowledge sharing on best practices in sustainable energy sales
