Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive software quality assurance strategies, including test plans, test cases, and automation frameworks for complex software systems.
  • Lead quality gates and code reviews to enforce industry standards such as ISO 9001, CMMI, and aerospace-specific regulations like DO-178C.
  • Design and execute automated testing suites using tools like Selenium, JUnit, and Jenkins to achieve high test coverage and reduce defect escape rates.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including developers, product managers, and DevOps engineers—to integrate quality practices into Agile/DevOps pipelines.
  • Perform root cause analysis on software defects, implement corrective actions, and track metrics using tools like Jira, SonarQube, and Quality Center.
  • Mentor junior QA team members and drive continuous improvement initiatives, such as shifting left on quality and adopting AI-driven testing tools.
  • Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards (e.g., NIST, OWASP) and contribute to risk assessments for software releases.

  • Proven experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies including Agile, Scrum, and DevOps (experience)
  • Hands-on expertise in test automation frameworks and tools for web, mobile, or embedded systems (experience)
  • Strong knowledge of quality standards and regulations relevant to aerospace, industrial, or enterprise software (experience)
  • Experience with defect tracking, CI/CD pipelines, and performance testing (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related field (experience)
  • Certifications such as ISTQB Advanced Test Manager, Certified Software Quality Engineer (CSQE), or Six Sigma Green Belt (experience)
  • Experience in aerospace software quality (e.g., DO-178C, ARP4754A) or regulated industries (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute manual and automated test strategies to validate software functionality, performance, security, and reliability
  • Lead the creation and maintenance of test automation scripts and frameworks to support continuous integration and delivery
  • Conduct thorough code reviews, static analysis, and security vulnerability assessments to ensure code quality
  • Analyze test results, identify defects, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate on resolution with development teams
  • Develop and report key quality metrics (e.g., defect density, test coverage, MTTR) to stakeholders using dashboards and tools
  • Mentor and train team members on best practices in software quality engineering and emerging tools
  • Drive process improvements and implement quality tools to enhance efficiency in SDLC
