Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth technical assessments of hospitality customer needs, designing customized application and system solutions using Honeywell's suite of building technologies.
  • Develop and deliver compelling technical demonstrations, proofs-of-concept, and ROI analyses to support sales cycles for multi-million-dollar deals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, product management, and R&D, to translate customer requirements into scalable, innovative solutions.
  • Provide post-sales technical support, facilitating smooth implementation and optimization of deployed systems to maximize customer uptime and satisfaction.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends in hospitality tech, such as AI-driven guest personalization and energy-efficient IoT integrations, to position Honeywell as the preferred partner.
  • Author technical proposals, whitepapers, and solution architectures that articulate value propositions for complex hospitality projects.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field (experience)
  • 7+ years of experience in solutions engineering, technical sales, or systems integration within the hospitality, building automation, or IoT industries (experience)
  • Proven track record of closing complex technical sales deals exceeding $1M in value (experience)
  • Deep knowledge of hospitality systems including PMS integration, HVAC controls, access control, and energy management (experience)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and IoT protocols (e.g., BACnet, Modbus, MQTT) (experience)
  • Ability to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Engineering or Business Administration (experience)
  • Honeywell Forge or Niagara certification, or equivalent in building automation (experience)
  • Prior experience in hospitality operations or with major PMS providers like Opera or Fidelio (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Architect end-to-end solutions for hospitality clients, integrating Honeywell's building management systems with third-party hospitality software
  • Lead technical discovery sessions and workshops with C-suite stakeholders to uncover pain points and propose value-driven solutions
  • Create detailed system diagrams, bill of materials, and implementation roadmaps for large-scale deployments
  • Mentor junior engineers and sales teams on technical best practices and product capabilities
  • Analyze performance data from deployed systems to recommend optimizations and upsell opportunities
  • Represent Honeywell at industry conferences, trade shows, and customer events to showcase hospitality innovations
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards such as ASHRAE, UL, and hospitality-specific cybersecurity protocols
