Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement supplier quality assurance strategies to mitigate risks and enhance performance metrics.
  • Conduct comprehensive supplier audits, process validations, and root cause analysis using advanced quality tools like APQP, PPAP, and FMEA.
  • Lead supplier development programs, collaborating with procurement and engineering to resolve quality issues and drive corrective actions.
  • Analyze supplier data trends using statistical methods and quality management systems (QMS) to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Manage qualification of new suppliers and ongoing performance monitoring to meet Honeywell's stringent quality standards.
  • Foster strong relationships with global suppliers to promote a culture of continuous improvement and compliance with ISO 9001/AS9100 standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field (experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in supplier quality engineering within aerospace, automotive, or manufacturing industries (experience)
  • Proven track record in supplier auditing, qualification, and performance management (experience)
  • Experience with quality standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949 (experience)
  • Strong knowledge of quality tools including APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and SPC (experience)
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 25% (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Engineering or Quality Management (experience)
  • Six Sigma Black Belt or ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) (experience)
  • Experience with global supply chain management in a multinational corporation (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute supplier quality plans, including risk assessments and mitigation strategies for international suppliers
  • Perform on-site audits and process reviews to ensure compliance with Honeywell specifications and regulatory requirements
  • Lead root cause investigations using 8D, fishbone diagrams, and other methodologies to resolve systemic quality issues
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, procurement, operations) to integrate supplier quality into product development lifecycle
  • Monitor and report supplier KPIs, driving scorecards and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Train and mentor junior quality engineers and supplier personnel on best practices
  • Implement advanced quality analytics and data-driven decision-making to optimize supply chain performance
