Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review federal, state, and international tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IRS and other regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct detailed tax research and analysis on emerging tax laws, transfer pricing, and international tax matters to mitigate risks and identify savings opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain tax provision calculations, including quarterly and annual effective tax rate forecasting for SEC reporting.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and Operations teams to support tax planning initiatives, M&A due diligence, and audit defense.
  • Manage tax data integrity in ERP systems like SAP, performing reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.
  • Assist in responding to tax authority inquiries, notices, and examinations, preparing documentation and technical memos.
  • Identify process improvements in tax compliance workflows, leveraging automation tools to enhance efficiency.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related field (experience)
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in corporate tax analysis or compliance, preferably in a multinational environment (experience)
  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification or equivalent (e.g., Enrolled Agent) (experience)
  • In-depth knowledge of US federal and state tax regulations, including ASC 740 and transfer pricing (experience)
  • Proficiency in tax software such as Thomson Reuters ONESOURCE, Avalara, or SAP Tax modules (experience)
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in tax provision and compliance reporting (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Taxation or MBA (experience)
  • Big 4 public accounting experience or prior work at a Fortune 500 company (experience)
  • International tax experience, including OECD guidelines and BEPS compliance (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate US federal, state, and international tax returns and extensions, ensuring timely filing
  • Perform tax provision calculations and effective tax rate modeling for quarterly SEC financial statements
  • Conduct tax research on complex issues using CCH Axcess or similar tools, documenting positions in technical memos
  • Support internal and external tax audits by preparing schedules, responding to inquiries, and defending positions
  • Analyze transfer pricing documentation and assist in intercompany agreements for global operations
  • Collaborate with business units on tax planning strategies to optimize effective tax rates and cash flow
  • Identify and implement process automation for tax compliance using Excel macros, Alteryx, or RPA tools
