Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop system architectures for aerospace and industrial applications, ensuring compliance with safety standards such as DO-178C and ARP4754A.
  • Implement and integrate software and hardware components, performing requirements analysis, verification, and validation testing.
  • Manage system lifecycle processes, from concept through deployment, using tools like DOORS, Cameo Systems Modeler, and MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Collaborate with software, hardware, and test engineers to troubleshoot issues and optimize system performance.
  • Conduct risk assessments and failure modes analysis (FMEA) to enhance system reliability and safety.
  • Document designs, generate technical reports, and support regulatory audits and customer demonstrations.

  • 1-3 years of experience in systems engineering, preferably in aerospace, defense, or industrial automation (experience)
  • Proficiency in systems engineering methodologies such as MBSE (Model-Based Systems Engineering) and V&V processes (experience)
  • Experience with requirements management tools like IBM DOORS or Jama Connect (experience)
  • Familiarity with industry standards including ISO 15288, MIL-STD-498, or ARP4754 (experience)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance if required (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Systems Engineering or related field (experience)
  • INCOSE certification (e.g., ASEP or CSEP) (experience)
  • Experience with avionics systems or real-time embedded systems (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Analyze stakeholder requirements and translate them into verifiable system specifications using structured methodologies
  • Develop and maintain system models, simulations, and architectures to support design trade studies and optimization
  • Lead integration and interface definition between subsystems, ensuring seamless interoperability
  • Perform system-level testing, including hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulations and environmental qualification tests
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks through proactive analysis and design reviews
  • Support cross-functional teams in agile environments to deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Prepare and present technical documentation for internal reviews, customer briefings, and certification authorities
