Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop system architectures for aerospace, industrial automation, or building management systems, integrating hardware, software, and firmware components.
  • Implement and test system prototypes using model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools like SysML and MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Manage requirements traceability from concept through verification, ensuring compliance with industry standards such as DO-178C, ARP4754A, or ISO 26262.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software, hardware, and quality engineers to resolve integration issues and optimize performance.
  • Conduct system-level analysis, including trade studies, risk assessments, and failure modes effects analysis (FMEA).
  • Document designs, test plans, and reports while supporting certification and validation processes.
  • Participate in agile sprints and design reviews to deliver high-quality systems on time.

  • Familiarity with industry standards like INCOSE guidelines, ARP4754, or MIL-STD-498 (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Systems Engineering or a related discipline (experience)
  • INCOSE Associate Systems Engineering Professional (ASEP) certification or equivalent (experience)
  • Experience with embedded systems, real-time operating systems (RTOS), or avionics (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain system requirements specifications using tools like IBM DOORS or Jira
  • Perform system integration testing and debug complex multi-domain systems
  • Conduct trade-off analyses and simulations to optimize system performance, cost, and reliability
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define system interfaces and ensure seamless interoperability
  • Support root cause analysis for system anomalies using techniques like 5-Why and fishbone diagrams
  • Prepare technical documentation, including system design descriptions and test reports
