Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop system architectures for aerospace and industrial applications, including requirements analysis, modeling, and simulation using tools like SysML and MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Implement and integrate subsystems, performing verification and validation testing to ensure compliance with industry standards such as DO-178C and ISO 26262.
  • Manage system lifecycle processes, from concept through deployment, including risk assessment, change management, and configuration control.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software, hardware, and test engineers, to resolve technical issues and optimize system performance.
  • Conduct system-level trade studies, performance analysis, and documentation to support program milestones and deliverables.
  • Ensure adherence to Honeywell's quality management system and regulatory requirements through audits and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • 1-3 years of experience in systems engineering, preferably in aerospace, defense, or industrial automation sectors (experience)
  • Proficiency in systems modeling tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler, DOORS Next, or Enterprise Architect (experience)
  • Strong understanding of systems engineering principles, including V-model lifecycle and MBSE (Model-Based Systems Engineering) (experience)
  • Experience with requirements management, verification, and validation processes (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Systems Engineering or a related discipline (experience)
  • INCOSE certification (e.g., ASEP or CSEP) (experience)
  • Hands-on experience with Honeywell products or similar complex systems in avionics or building automation (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain system requirements specifications, traceability matrices, and interface control documents
  • Perform system design, simulation, and analysis using tools like MATLAB/Simulink and Stateflow
  • Lead integration and testing activities, including hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulations and fault insertion testing
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the project lifecycle
  • Generate technical reports, presentations, and documentation for internal reviews and customer deliverables
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for system anomalies using structured methodologies like 8D
  • Contribute to process improvements and knowledge sharing within the engineering team
