Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop system architectures for aerospace and industrial applications, integrating hardware, software, and firmware components.
  • Implement system requirements using tools like DOORS, SysML, and MATLAB/Simulink to meet performance, safety, and reliability standards.
  • Conduct system integration testing, verification, and validation to identify and resolve issues early in the development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software engineers, hardware designers, and project managers to deliver scalable solutions.
  • Manage system documentation, including requirements traceability matrices and interface control documents, ensuring compliance with industry regulations such as DO-178C and ARP4754A.
  • Analyze system performance data and support root cause analysis for anomalies, proposing enhancements for continuous improvement.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies and risk assessments to support on-time project delivery.

  • 1-3 years of experience in systems engineering, preferably in aerospace, defense, or industrial automation sectors (experience)
  • Familiarity with systems engineering lifecycle processes (requirements analysis, design, verification, and validation) (experience)
  • Proficiency in systems modeling tools such as SysML, UML, or Enterprise Architect (experience)
  • Understanding of safety-critical systems standards like DO-178C, DO-254, or ISO 26262 (experience)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Systems Engineering or a related discipline (experience)
  • INCOSE certification (e.g., ASEP) or equivalent (experience)
  • Experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and tools like Cameo Systems Modeler (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain system requirements specifications and architectures using MBSE methodologies
  • Perform system integration, testing, and troubleshooting on hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and software-in-the-loop (SIL) environments
  • Conduct trade studies and risk assessments to optimize system design for performance, cost, and reliability
  • Interface with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure traceability throughout the development process
  • Support configuration management and change control processes for system baselines
  • Analyze system failures using tools like FMEA and contribute to corrective action plans
  • Document technical reports, test plans, and compliance evidence for regulatory audits
