Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop system architectures for aerospace, industrial automation, or building management systems, integrating hardware, software, and firmware components.
  • Implement and test system prototypes, performing requirements analysis, modeling, simulation, and verification to meet performance specifications.
  • Manage system lifecycle processes, including integration, validation, and troubleshooting of multi-disciplinary engineering challenges.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, hardware designers, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless system deployment.
  • Conduct risk assessments and mitigation strategies, adhering to industry standards such as DO-178C, ISO 26262, or ARP4754A.
  • Document system designs, generate technical reports, and support regulatory compliance and certification efforts.
  • Participate in agile development sprints and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize system performance and efficiency.

  • Strong understanding of systems engineering lifecycle processes (requirements, design, verification, and validation) (experience)
  • Experience with configuration management and version control tools like Git or DOORS (experience)
  • Ability to obtain security clearance if required for specific projects (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Systems Engineering or related field (experience)
  • INCOSE certification (e.g., ASEP) or equivalent (experience)
  • Hands-on experience with embedded systems or real-time operating systems (RTOS) (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Analyze customer requirements and translate them into verifiable system specifications and architectures
  • Develop and maintain system models using MBSE (Model-Based Systems Engineering) methodologies
  • Lead integration and testing activities, including hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulations and system-level validation
  • Identify and resolve system-level issues through root cause analysis and design trade studies
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure system interoperability and compliance with safety standards
  • Support product sustainment, including change management and obsolescence handling
  • Contribute to design reviews, failure modes analysis (FMEA), and continuous process improvements
