Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop system architectures for aerospace, industrial automation, or building management systems, utilizing model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools.
  • Implement and integrate software, hardware, and firmware components to create robust, scalable solutions.
  • Conduct requirements analysis, verification, and validation to ensure compliance with industry standards such as DO-178C, ISO 26262, or ARP4754A.
  • Manage system lifecycle processes, including risk assessment, configuration management, and performance optimization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, hardware designers, and quality assurance, to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system-level issues using root cause analysis and diagnostic tools.
  • Document designs, test plans, and reports to support regulatory audits and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Proficiency in systems engineering methodologies, including requirements management and V&V processes (experience)
  • Experience with modeling tools such as SysML, UML, or MATLAB/Simulink (experience)
  • Familiarity with industry standards like DO-178C, ARP4754A, or ISO 26262 (experience)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Systems Engineering or a related discipline (experience)
  • Certifications such as INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) or equivalent (experience)
  • Experience with agile development methodologies in a systems context (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain system requirements specifications using tools like DOORS or Polarion
  • Perform system integration testing and support hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulations
  • Analyze system performance data to identify and mitigate risks and bottlenecks
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate user needs into technical requirements and architectures
  • Support design reviews, trade studies, and failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA)
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by updating processes and tools based on project learnings
  • Prepare technical documentation for system handoff, certification, and customer delivery
