Key Responsibilities

  • Design, integrate, and validate satellite terminal systems for airborne applications, ensuring compliance with rigorous aerospace standards.
  • Conduct comprehensive certification tests, including environmental, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), and performance validations per DO-160 and other regulatory requirements.
  • Develop detailed technical documentation, including system requirements, interface control documents, and test reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware, software, and RF engineers, to drive new product development from concept to flight qualification.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex system-level issues during integration and testing phases.
  • Support product lifecycle management, from design reviews to sustainment and upgrades.

  • Hands-on experience with certification testing standards such as DO-160, DO-254, or ARP4754A (experience)
  • Familiarity with requirements management tools like DOORS or Polarion (experience)
  • Ability to obtain necessary security clearances for international projects (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Engineering or related field (experience)
  • Experience with UAV or commercial aircraft satcom terminal development (experience)
  • Professional certifications such as INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional (SEP) or PMP (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Lead the integration of satellite terminal hardware and software subsystems for airplane and UAV platforms
  • Execute and document certification tests, including lab simulations and flight trials
  • Author and maintain system architecture documentation and interface specifications
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to innovate and resolve technical challenges in new product designs
  • Perform system-level trade studies, risk assessments, and verification/validation activities
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for integration discrepancies
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to process improvements in agile development environments
