Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain system architectures for multi-domain applications, ensuring compliance with industry standards such as DO-178C, ARP4754A, and ISO 26262.
- Perform requirements analysis, decomposition, and verification using tools like DOORS, Cameo Systems Modeler, and MATLAB/Simulink.
- Lead integration and testing of hardware/software systems, troubleshooting complex issues in real-time environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software, hardware, and firmware engineers to deliver scalable solutions.
- Conduct risk assessments, trade studies, and performance modeling to optimize system reliability and efficiency.
- Support deployment and sustainment activities, including documentation, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field (experience)
- 5+ years of experience in systems engineering for complex hardware/software integrated systems (experience)
- Proven track record in requirements management and system verification/validation processes (experience)
- Experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools and methodologies (experience)
- Familiarity with aerospace, industrial, or defense standards (e.g., MIL-STD-810, RTCA DO-254) (experience)
- Ability to obtain security clearance for international projects (where applicable) (experience)
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Systems Engineering or related discipline (experience)
- INCOSE certification (e.g., CSEP) or equivalent (experience)
- Experience with Honeywell products or similar avionics/industrial control systems (experience)
Responsibilities
- Design comprehensive system architectures and interfaces for embedded and distributed systems
- Lead requirements elicitation, traceability, and allocation across hardware, software, and firmware domains
- Execute system-level integration, testing, and debugging using lab equipment and simulation tools
- Perform failure modes, effects, and criticality analysis (FMECA) and hazard assessments
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define and refine system performance metrics and trade-offs
- Develop technical documentation including system design specs, test plans, and user manuals
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to process improvements in agile/devsecops environments
