Key Responsibilities

  • Design and architect complex systems by translating customer requirements into technical specifications, ensuring alignment with Honeywell's rigorous standards for reliability and performance.
  • Implement system solutions using model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools, integrating hardware, software, and firmware components for seamless operation.
  • Lead requirements analysis, verification, and validation processes, conducting trade studies and risk assessments to optimize system performance.
  • Manage system lifecycle activities, including integration, testing, troubleshooting, and deployment across aerospace, industrial automation, or building technologies domains.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—software engineers, hardware designers, and project managers—to deliver innovative solutions on time and within budget.
  • Drive continuous improvement by applying systems thinking, root cause analysis, and best practices to enhance safety, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Document system designs, generate reports, and support regulatory compliance for industry standards like DO-178C, ARP4754A, or ISO 26262.

Summary

  • Proven experience with systems engineering lifecycle processes, including requirements management and verification (experience)
  • Hands-on experience with tools like DOORS, Cameo Systems Modeler, or MATLAB/Simulink for MBSE (experience)
  • Strong understanding of system integration, testing methodologies, and failure modes analysis (experience)
  • Ability to obtain relevant security clearances or certifications as required for project work (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Systems Engineering or related field (experience)
  • INCOSE certification (e.g., CSEP or ASEP) (experience)
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or industrial automation sectors with Honeywell or similar Fortune 100 companies (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Architect and design multi-domain systems by defining interfaces, architectures, and performance requirements using MBSE methodologies
  • Develop and maintain system requirements traceability matrices, ensuring full coverage and compliance with standards
  • Lead system integration and testing efforts, including hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulations and environmental testing
  • Perform trade-off analyses, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies to optimize system reliability and cost
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve technical issues, conduct design reviews, and support product qualification
  • Generate comprehensive documentation, including system specifications, test plans, and certification artifacts
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to process improvements in agile or DevSecOps environments
