Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain system architectures, requirements specifications, and interface control documents for multi-domain systems including hardware, software, and firmware components.
- Perform system-level analysis, modeling, simulation, and trade studies using tools like MATLAB/Simulink, SysML, or DOORS to optimize performance and mitigate risks.
- Lead integration, verification, and validation activities, including test planning, execution, and troubleshooting of system issues in lab and field environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, hardware designers, and project managers, to ensure seamless system integration and compliance with industry standards such as DO-178C, ARP4754A, or ISO 26262.
- Conduct design reviews, risk assessments, and failure modes effects analysis (FMEA) to support certification and regulatory approvals.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by implementing best practices in systems engineering processes and tools.
- Support customer engagements, providing technical expertise during proposals, demonstrations, and sustainment phases.

- Proven experience with systems engineering lifecycle processes (requirements management, design, integration, verification, and validation) (experience)
- Hands-on experience with systems modeling tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, Cameo Systems Modeler, or IBM DOORS (experience)
- Familiarity with industry standards like ARP4754, DO-178C, or MIL-STD-498 (experience)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment (experience)
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Systems Engineering or related field (experience)
- INCOSE certification (e.g., CSEP) or equivalent (experience)
- Experience in aerospace, defense, or industrial automation domains (experience)
- Proficiency in Agile/DevOps methodologies for systems development (experience)
Responsibilities
- Define and manage system requirements using traceability tools to ensure alignment with stakeholder needs and regulatory requirements
- Design system architectures and perform trade-off analyses to balance performance, cost, weight, and reliability
- Lead system integration and testing efforts, including hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulations and environmental testing
- Analyze system performance data, identify anomalies, and implement corrective actions
- Facilitate peer reviews and participate in program design reviews and gate reviews
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to process improvements in systems engineering practices
- Interface with suppliers and customers to resolve technical issues and support product deployment
