Key Responsibilities

  • Design and architect complex systems by translating customer requirements into technical specifications, ensuring alignment with industry standards and Honeywell's quality protocols.
  • Implement and integrate system components, including hardware, software, and firmware, while optimizing for performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Conduct system-level testing, validation, and verification using tools like DOORS, MATLAB/Simulink, and SysML to identify and resolve integration issues.
  • Manage system lifecycle processes, from requirements analysis through deployment and sustainment, adhering to INCOSE and ISO 15288 standards.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including software engineers, hardware designers, and project managers, to deliver innovative solutions on time and within budget.
  • Perform risk assessments, trade studies, and failure mode analyses to enhance system safety and resilience in mission-critical applications.
  • Document system designs, generate reports, and present findings to stakeholders, driving continuous improvement initiatives.

  • 5+ years of professional experience in systems engineering, with a focus on complex system design and integration in aerospace, defense, or industrial sectors (experience)
  • Proven track record of working with systems engineering tools such as DOORS, Cameo Systems Modeler, or Enterprise Architect (experience)
  • Experience with requirements management, model-based systems engineering (MBSE), and verification & validation (V&V) processes (experience)
  • Strong understanding of systems lifecycle methodologies (e.g., INCOSE, ISO/IEC 15288) (experience)
  • Ability to obtain necessary security clearances or certifications for sensitive projects (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Systems Engineering or a related discipline (experience)
  • INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) or equivalent certification (experience)
  • Experience with Honeywell products or similar platforms in avionics, building automation, or performance materials (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain system architecture models using MBSE tools to support design traceability and simulation
  • Lead requirements elicitation workshops with stakeholders and decompose high-level needs into verifiable system requirements
  • Integrate multi-domain systems (hardware/software/firmware) and perform interface control documentation (ICD) management
  • Execute system testing campaigns, including hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulations and environmental qualification tests
  • Conduct trade-off analyses and risk mitigation strategies to optimize system performance and cost
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and implement corrective actions
  • Support proposal development by providing systems engineering inputs for bids and customer presentations
