Join Honeywell's Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) team as a Technician - ISC - Level 1 and play a vital role in maintaining the seamless operation of our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Palmetto, FL. In this hands-on position, you will troubleshoot, maintain, and repair critical equipment to support our high-volume production processes. Working on 2nd or 3rd shift, you will ensure minimal downtime, contribute to process improvements, and uphold Honeywell's commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency. Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on production equipment to identify root causes of failures.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and calibrations on machinery including CNC machines, robotic assembly lines, and automated material handling systems.
  • Assist in the implementation of lean manufacturing initiatives and process improvements to enhance throughput and reduce waste.
  • Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with OSHA, Honeywell safety standards, and environmental regulations.
  • Document maintenance activities using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) and generate reports for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with production operators, engineers, and supervisors to resolve issues quickly and support 24/7 operations.
  • Participate in training programs to stay current with new technologies and equipment upgrades.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals (experience)
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment (experience)
  • Availability to work 2nd (3pm-11pm) or 3rd (11pm-7am) shifts, including weekends and overtime as needed (experience)
  • Strong commitment to safety protocols and ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screening (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Vocational certification in Industrial Maintenance Technology or equivalent (e.g., from NCCER or ETA) (experience)
  • Experience with PLC programming, robotics, or CNC systems (experience)
  • Familiarity with CMMS software such as SAP PM or Maximo (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair malfunctions in electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems to minimize production downtime
  • Execute scheduled preventive maintenance tasks on manufacturing equipment per OEM specifications
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement corrective actions to improve equipment reliability
  • Perform root cause analysis using tools like 5-Why or Fishbone diagrams for recurring issues
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts usage, and maintenance activities in the CMMS system
  • Support new equipment installations and upgrades by assisting with assembly, testing, and commissioning
  • Ensure workplace safety by conducting Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and housekeeping standards
