Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and recommend customer credit limits and risk ratings based on credit scores
  • Analyze high-risk customers and develop proactive strategies to prevent delinquencies
  • Create and maintain Access database for deficiency accounts and collection activities
  • Review daily internal audit reports to ensure accurate payment allocation and resolve discrepancies
  • Negotiate initial payments with customers and sales teams to enable purchases beyond credit limits
  • Support dispute resolution processes with internal teams and customers
  • Ensure timely collections by resolving payment issues and disputes
  • Develop research-driven conclusions, recommendations, and reports
  • Contribute to knowledge management by sharing insights and fostering team collaboration
  • Apply professional expertise and judgment while adhering to HP policies and procedures

Required Qualifications

  • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or related discipline
  • Typically 5-10 years of work experience in collections, credit, banking, or related field
  • Demonstrated competence in credit analysis and risk management
  • Experience with data analysis and database management (e.g., Access)
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and auditing
  • Ability to work independently on moderate scope problems
  • Strong understanding of company policies and compliance procedures

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Accounts Payable Professional (CAPP)
  • Certified Professional in Credit and Collections (CPCC)
  • Advanced degree in Finance or related field
  • Experience in technology or hardware industry finance
  • SQL programming knowledge
