About the Role

HP Inc. is seeking a visionary Director of Employee Listening to lead our People Insights team in Spring, Texas. Reporting to the Senior Director of People Insights, this high-impact role sits at the nexus of behavioral science, advanced people analytics, and cutting-edge technology innovation. As a key leader in HP's customer-centric culture, you will architect and execute an enterprise-wide employee listening strategy that spans the full employee lifecycle, driving actionable insights to enhance talent management, leadership effectiveness, hybrid work models, and more. By integrating listening data with HP's transformative initiatives, you will empower our global workforce of innovators to deliver groundbreaking printing, computing, and digital solutions that redefine how the world works. In this role, you will serve as the go-to expert for survey design, administration, and analysis, leveraging tools like Qualtrics, PowerBI, and Databricks to deliver intersectional, self-service analytics. Partnering closely with Global HR Privacy, CoEs, and business leaders, you will ensure robust data privacy while recommending strategies grounded in business outcomes. You will champion inclusive listening practices that embrace diverse perspectives, fostering a culture of belonging where every voice fuels HP's legendary innovation. Lead deep-dive projects, vendor relationships, and a best-in-class team to evolve our listening ecosystem, creating intuitive reporting experiences that inform decisions at all levels. Thriving in ambiguity, you will craft compelling narratives and visualizations to influence executives, bridging people data with HP's technology-driven future. With a pay range of $166,050 to $249,100 USD annually (plus bonus/equity), comprehensive benefits, and opportunities in our collaborative, 170-country network, join HP to shape employee experiences that power world-class innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and execute HP’s employee listening strategy across the entire employee lifecycle
  • Connect listening strategy with key enterprise initiatives including talent management, leadership effectiveness, and hybrid work
  • Recommend data-driven actions and insights to People Organization leadership, CoEs, and HR business partners
  • Serve as subject matter expert on survey content development, design, administration, analyses, and reporting
  • Continuously improve listening data architecture, analytics integrations, measurement strategies, privacy protections, and reporting practices
  • Design improved reporting and analytics experiences, including intersectional, self-service listening analytics
  • Partner with Global HR Privacy Program Manager to ensure data privacy, security, and compliance in all processes
  • Collaborate with CoEs on deep dive projects using sentiment and perceptual data
  • Support growth of assessment-related programs and manage vendor relationships
  • Develop and lead a best-in-class employee listening team

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 10 years related experience, or MS plus 7 years related experience, or PhD plus 5 years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of people management experience leading high-performing teams
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex global employee listening operations at scale
  • Prior experience managing, analyzing, and troubleshooting survey and HR data using SQL, R, Python, or SPSS with advanced analytics methodologies
  • Experience with leading employee listening platforms/vendors and analytics/BI tools (e.g., Qualtrics, Medallia, Glint, Perceptyx, PowerBI, Databricks)
  • Experience leading an employee assessment function or managing assessment vendor relationships and contracts
  • End-to-end management of relationships with listening-related vendors

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Behavior, Business, or related quantitative/social science discipline
  • Experience designing and running focus groups and/or other qualitative methods of listening data collection
  • Background in tech-driven innovation within people analytics or behavioral science
