You will collaborate with global internal teams and outsourced partners, leading projects from concept to production and mentoring junior engineers. Representing the electrical hardware team in complex initiatives, you will drive cost-effective, high-quality designs that align with HP's commitment to sustainability and excellence. We seek a talented engineer with 5-7 years of experience, a degree in Electrical Engineering, and expertise in design tools, empirical analysis, and problem-solving. Key Responsibilities

  • Design engineering solutions for electrical and electronic parts, subsystems, integrated circuitry, and algorithms using established principles and HP's development guidelines
  • Develop and implement parameters and test plans for new and existing designs, including validation of electromagnetic interference, safety, reliability, thermal generation, and system power measurements
  • Collaborate and communicate with management, internal teams, and outsourced development partners on design status, project progress, and issue resolution
  • Lead a project team of electrical hardware engineers and partners to deliver reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality solutions for moderately complex consumer notebook products
  • Represent the electrical hardware team across all phases of larger, more complex development projects at HP Inc.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members
  • Drive innovation in consumer notebook hardware to enhance user experience and performance
  • Ensure designs align with HP's customer-centric standards for portability, battery life, and reliability
  • Conduct empirical analysis and modeling to optimize thermal and emissions management
  • Negotiate design proposals and product architectures at management levels

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Typically 5-7 years of experience in electrical hardware engineering
  • Proficiency in electrical design tools and software packages
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience designing electronic components, integrated circuitry, and algorithms
  • Expertise in empirical analysis, modeling, and testing methodologies for validating component, circuit, and hardware designs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin
